Buon giorno, I work as a part-time youth worker at Bel-Ami, a youth centre in the West of Amsterdam. For more information about our youth centre check the web page, although it is in Dutch. In this short-study visit on the paradise island called Sardigna, we had the opportunity to eat as much fish I usually eat in a year, dance traditional Sardignian dance and learn more about the other cultural aspects. I am even tempted to say I know more about Sardignian traditions then most young people in Sardigna. But besides the food, dance and music their had to be work done. We learned a lot about each others organisations, differences and similarities. We talked about different projects people are working on to get some good ideas and were often amazed about the differences in organisational structure and habits of the different countries participating in this short-study visit. Aside from the useful information of the participants we talked about the actions of the Youth Program of the E.U. This was equally interesting for me because I knew as little as nothing about these actions. I hope to organise a group exchange with some other countries, especially with a group of immigrant youngsters to talk about this topic and the experience of these group of youngsters in different countries. I had a great time, have a lack of sleep, gained a few kilos and made new friends. My thanks and loves goes to all the participants and a special kiss to all the people who came to talk about their organisations and of course to the people who organised this visit.
Greetings and a big huge.
